About PKPASS Viewer

A free viewer for .pkpass files that runs in your browser.

or drag it here

Free, no sign-up. The file is read on your device and never uploaded.

Print-ready PDF export, from US$4.90 for 30 days. See pricing.

What it is and who it is for

PKPASS Viewer opens .pkpass files, the format Apple Wallet uses for boarding passes, event tickets, coupons and loyalty cards. It is for people who receive such a file by email but are not on an iPhone: on Android, Windows, Mac or Linux there is often no app set up to open it. Developers can also use it to look at the raw pass.json of a pass they built. Start with the viewer.

How it works

You drop the file into the page. Your browser unzips and reads it on your own device, and the file is never sent to a server. The viewer shows the front and back of the pass, its barcode and its fields, and you can save the pass as a PNG image. It does not add passes to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. There is no account, and the site sets no cookies. Details are in the privacy policy.

What is free and what is paid

Viewing a pass, its barcode and saving it as a PNG are free. The one paid feature is PDF export: a print-ready A4 or US Letter PDF with one, two or four passes per page. It is sold as a Trip Pass (US$4.90 once, valid 30 days) or as Pro (US$6.90 a month or US$39 a year); Waffo is the merchant of record for card payments. Refunds: see the refund policy and the pricing page.

Who makes it and how it is tested

PKPASS Viewer is made and maintained by one independent developer, not by a company team. Every change is checked against sample passes of each kind (boarding pass, event ticket, coupon, store card, generic pass and a bundle), against broken and oversized files, and against about 1,350 automated tests. This page was last updated on 2026-10-30.
